Orlando, Universal Studios and Disney World and
this airboat ride is well worth the drive!
Enjoy the family friendly atmosphere as you are allowed
to feed the fish and wildlife that have made the bait and
tackle fishing pier home. Large Herrings stay on top of our
boat slips and wait for the daily feedings as our local hawk
shows off by catching fish in mid air. The Blue Gills and
Large Mouth Bass feed like piranha as you toss bread off the
docks. At times even a local gator shows up to see what's in
it for him or her.
About Lake Panasoffkee ...
 Lake
Panasoffkee is a 4,460 acre spring fed lake that is
controlled by the Florida Fish and Game Commission and has
over 9000 acres of protected management areas around the
lake. The lake has several spring fed channels that lead
into swamps and wilderness areas connected to the
Withlacoochee River which flow north all the way the the
Gulf of Mexico. The scenery here is breathtaking as it is as
close to old Florida as you can get and an airboat ride is
the best way to access this hidden area. Most residents will
have an airboat or two in the back yard as it is a very
beautiful place for airboat rides.
Bring the camera on your exciting airboat ride into a
jungle setting that looks like Jurassic Park. Visit a small
town community with very colorful residents that will take
the time to share the area history at Cat Fish Johnny's
Restaurant. Frog Legs, Gator Tale, and of coarse normal food
is available along with a very relaxed atmosphere.
